The Moorooduc McIntyre Chardonnay

Moorooduc Estate The Moorooduc McIntyre Chardonnay is the pinnacle of Moorooduc Chardonnay. It is the result of stringent fruit selection from the oldest vines grown in the estate's McIntyre Vineyard.

Whole bunches are fed into a gravity press. Designed for sparkling wine it separates the juice from the skins, pips and stems. The cloudy juice is sent to one quarter new French oak barrels for wild fermentation.

The wine undergoes full natural malolactic fermentation and 10 months of maturation in barrel on lees. It is racked once prior to bottling with light fining and filtration.

Golden green, Moorooduc Estate The Moorooduc McIntyre Chardonnay is rich and restrained with juicy citrus flavours and a long finish. Cellaring potential is five years.
